Wednesday, 13 May 2026, Dublin: The IMRO Radio Awards are back for 2026, opening the call for entries to celebrate the people, stations and programmes shaping radio across the island of Ireland.
Recognised as the benchmark for excellence in Irish radio, the Awards honour the voices on air, the teams behind the scenes, and the work that continues to keep radio at the centre of Irish life.
From breaking news to breakfast shows, specialist music to sport, documentaries to digital innovation, the IMRO Radio Awards recognise the full force of a medium that informs, entertains, reflects and connects audiences every day.
Following one of the biggest entry years in the Awards’ history in 2025, #IMRO26 arrives at a time when radio continues to prove its reach, relevance and creative strength. This year’s Awards will once again shine a spotlight on the talent, craft and ambition driving the sector forward.
The deadline for entries is Thursday, 25 June at 3pm. The shortlist will be announced later this summer, with further details to follow.
The 2026 IMRO Radio Awards ceremony will take place at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny, on Friday, 2 October 2026.
Entries can now be submitted via the IMRO Radio Awards website: www.imroradioawards.ie
