This award celebrates how digital and social media boost radio. Entries should show how these platforms have made a radio bigger and better. Entries should be focused on digital-first concepts not just digital elements supporting traditional radio programmes.
Entries should use digital and social media in a fresh, fun, and surprising way. Video’s, written content, social media campaigns, or anything online that’s linked to a radio show. Podcasts can’t be entered in this category.
Entries should make the listener’s experience better, get them involved, and brings in new people to listen.
Who Can Enter
Entries may be submitted by licensed analogue and licensed digital terrestrial commercial and public service radio stations operating on the island of Ireland. All entries must have originated from, and been first broadcast on, the island of Ireland.
For the avoidance of doubt, digital services must be operating under a full, permanent broadcasting licence. Stations operating under trial, temporary, pilot or short‑term licences are not eligible.
Online-only (IP) radio services are not eligible to enter. Stations broadcasting solely as part of the current ComReg DAB trial are also not eligible.
Independent radio producers may enter, provided they submit proof of transmission by a qualifying, licensed station. In addition to the maximum of five entries permitted per station in each category, independent producers may submit one entry per category on payment of the relevant entry fee. Proof of broadcast by a qualifying station must accompany all independent entries.
All entries must be formally signed off by the Station Manager or Head of Station.
Entry Requirements and Conditions of Entry
Include a compilation of unedited extracts up to a maximum of 30 minutes duration which must have been first broadcast within the validity period.

The entry must be supported by a 250 word paragraph. Examples of stand-out on-line elements should be attached in a PDF with active weblinks for judges to access or screen grabs and imagery relevant to the entry.
How Do I Enter This Category
Once you have read all the entry requirements and conditions of entry for this category, and have finalised your audio entry, go to Enter Online and register (if you haven’t already done so). Then complete the entry form for this category and upload your audio entry. Click on Save to Later. This allows you to edit, print draft copies, delete or update your entry right up to the closing date.
Please ensure you have uploaded and completed all the required fields and hit submit. You will receive an automated email confirming your submission has been received.
The audio entry should be contained in one MP3 file of no more than 55MB in size.
Judging Criteria for this Category
Judges will look at the following criteria when judging this category;
Innovation (40/100): Judges will be looking for innovation, originality and the exciting use of the social and digital to support the radio medium.
Value (30/100): Does the entry entertain, excite and stand out?
Production (30/100): Did the entry use any non traditional avenues to enhance and expand the programme, as well as maintaining high radio values? Do the additional platforms integrate well into the programme experience?
